Outside - Freedom & Dallasito

I took a bit of a hiatus from doing Write-Ups. I thought life was hectic when I first stopped—but it’s only gotten busier. Between maintaining Boolah Radio, working a full-time job, and now gearing up to start a part-time one, we’re really on our hustle right now. That’s just the nature of life in our society and generation. Sometimes it feels like we might not even live long enough to see the seeds we’ve planted bear fruit.

“Bitch I’m Outside, thought I told you it was cutthroat…”

North Carolina’s Freedom returns from his own hiatus, linking back up with his brother Dallasito for their new soulful southern smash, “Outside.” Freedom handles the writing and performance, with Dallasito on production and Til Death Do Us Art (TDDUA) on video direction.

The video kicks off with Freedom taking us through various scenes of being outside—posted in a parking lot, cruising around with the homies. It’s a nostalgic blast back to those carefree days before life was filled with responsibilities. Dallasito’s flip of Tom Brock’s classic track adds weight to that sentiment. But then Freedom, along with the heavy 808s, pierces through the haze: “Bitch I’m Outside” hits like a sledgehammer—exactly how he meant it to. He’s back, and he’s got something to say.

These “outside” moments remind me of when life felt most alive. No pressure. No stress. Just being present. The weather’s heating up and summer’s right around the corner. Perfect time to be outside.
