SoundCloud Signs New Partnerships with Discord, Adobe, Others

On Wednesday, July 5th, SoundCloud announced four new massive partnerships with the platforms Discord, Adobe, Squarespace and Rap Plug, all in the efforts to expand SoundCloud’s “SoundCloud for Artist” features for SoundCloud Next and SoundCloud Next Pro users. Since launching in 2022, the “SoundCloud for Artist” program has given it’s users access to a creative dashboard that features everything from number of plays, who are your listeners, where are the from, even down to how they found your tracks in the vastness of the internet.

Here are the benefits from each new partnership:

Discord: 3 Months of Discord Nitro free

Abobe: 20% off Adobe Premiere Pro, more coming later

Squarespace: New “music themed domains” (.group, .band, etc.) to help enhance your branding

Rap Plug: 30+ free courses from industry professionals

The name of the game is acquisitions and partnerships. A big example of this is that Hulu/Disney+/Espn Bundle. You have three different platforms that tailor their content for specific demographics and now you can buy into an ecosystem you already trust, with the possibly of joining another. These new SoundCloud partnership moves are similar. Getting with Discord (community building), Adobe (ultimate creation platform), Squarespace (your hub), and Rap Plug (education and information) really shows SoundCloud is tapping in with all the different avenues to help creatives build their careers for the future.

And I’m all for it.
