For Episode 017 of The Guest List, I'm blessed to feature producer, multi-instrumentalist, rapper/songwriter and one of the artist I got to meet on the Pass The Drive retreat in Phoenix, ATP.! Born in Virginia and now residing in Maryland, ATP is one of those talents that really is a Swiss Army knife of capabilities. In the Phoenix trip alone, I would wake up and see him at the table with his computer making joints, sometimes pulling out his electric guitar to add some kind of layer or texture, then you catch him rapping at the Coldwater later in the week. He's a champion of hip hop but his musical taste goes into every corner of the universe, and you'll get a small tase of that in this edition of The Guest List.
What's the most important part about creation?
"Be open to learning and trying new things. Keep your head leveled. Sometimes it's good to remove expectations from things. Recognition catapults, focus on the craft cements."
