For Episode 009 of The Guest List, I'm extremely blessed to feature Johannesburg-based DJ, Producer, Photographer, and Videographer, and host of the future beats platform/collective VIBIN' IN THE CLOUD, IRV BLVMES JVKE! IRV and I have been going back and forth for a couple of years now, sharing music and learning about each other's creative processes for our respective platforms. Inspired by his mom, who sang alto in the local church choir, and his dad, a storied jazz enthusiast, IRV was surrounded by music from birth; those experiences helped curate his palette at a young age. He's also an avid skateboarder, still skating to this day and taking inspiration from legendary skater Dylan Rieder, whom IRV dubs "The King of Cool."
